The Santos Martinez Preludio Classic guitar features a premium grade, solid cedar soundboard and with a back and sides crafted from high grade, figured mahogany, the Preludio is a beautiful example.
Fine illustrations of this respected company’s attention to detail include, dark wood bindings, a capped heal, detailed rosette inlay, pau ferro fingerboard, profile-contoured capped headstock with engraved SM logo, maple inlay and gold-plated machine heads with white pearl buttons.
Whilst the Preludio classic is visually stunning, it’s from the choice of these finest tonewoods that this gorgeous instrument delivers excellent bass, mid-range and treble response.
Paired with a body of figured mahogany, itself renowned for its ability to add warmth, punch and sustain, solid spruce is the perfect tonewood choice for the Preludio Classic soundboard. Lighter in colour, its bright percussive sound adds sparkle, and a fine choice for both classical and flamenco players who want to reach up and over castanets and stomping heels.
Superb note clarity is notably apparent when playing arpeggio style chords or indeed, the more aggressive and typical rasgueado, Spanish and flamenco fast finger strumming techniques.
