Santos Martinez are also dedicated to introducing very young students to the exciting world of classical and flamenco guitar. They are admired among teachers for producing nylon strung guitars, specifically designed for students as young as 5 years old to learn on a high quality instrument.
With a 1/2 size body the Principante Classic is a fine example. The scaled down body, crafted from sapele with a spruce soundboard allows a child to comfortably reach the easy to play neck profile and fretboard without straining.
Needless to say, whilst this is a smaller instrument, the Santos Martinez attention to detail remains. Features include black bindings, a capped heal, detailed rosette inlay, profile-contoured capped headstock and chrome-plated machine heads with white buttons.
The natural satin open-pore finish, allows the sspruce soundboard to vibrate freely, delivering a rich, warm sound, with a balanced volume and projection.
With a 1/2 size body and smaller neck profile, the Principante Classic is a joyous instrument for young children to learn classical and flamenco styles.
