If you want high output, and absolutely positively must have an alnico magnet, the Alternative 8 Trembucker is the pickup for you.
The Alternative 8 Trembucker uses custom high output coils, along with a powerful alnico 8 magnet to give you the sweet treble response of alnico 2, with the midrange emphasis of alnico 5. The result is a huge, punchy, high output sound that doesn't get fizzy, and cuts through really well without sounding harsh. Match with the 59 neck or Jazz neck model for a perfectly balanced setup.Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (2 or wider from the centre of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup). Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Alternative 8 Trembucker uses an alnico 8 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
